GitLab

The university hosts a GitLab-Server: https://git.uni-due.de

There, the most relevant project for the group is of course belt. To keep each other informed about discovered issues with the code, notifications need to be activated, namely by choosing Watch in the settings. (The default setting is Participate, which makes sense for big projects with much more members.)

Here's how to navigate to the settings:

GitLab-Avatar.png

  1. Clicking on your "Avatar" (cf. arrow above, yours will look differently), select "Preferences".
  2. In the side menu, click "πŸ”” Notifications".
  3. Under "Global notification level", use the drop down menu to change from Participate to Watch. (If you are member in other, bigger projects, you better set the notification level specifically for "belt".)
