Walls

  • \(v_x\)-profile was slightly asymmetric and even \(v_x<0\) at one wall: Fixed (was an index glitch according to Dennis.)

Object

Asymmetry

A strong asymmetry was observed when driven by pressure gradient.

\(v_y\) not symmetric to the \(x\)-axis.

Fixed, was related to the viscosity field: In the solid cells, it should not be set to zero. Actually, the viscosity is a quantity which should be defined on the cell boundaries just as the stress tensor (but Visc_nu() deals with cell-centered quantities). Having it zero inside the object yields a vanishing shear stress on the object's "index-lee side".
